Children & Families
Grand Hotel is an exceptional summer vacation spot for families, many of which visit the hotel year after year. Thanks to the many activities available here and throughout Mackinac Island — including Grand Hotel’s children’s programs — Travel+Leisure Family magazine named Grand Hotel as one of the 50 best family-friendly resorts in North America. From the 220-foot swimming pool to biking to horseback riding, Grand Hotel offers fun things to do for kids of all ages.
Children 9 and under stay free at Grand Hotel. Ages 10-17 are $65.00 per night. Ages 18 and over are $149.00 per night. Children’s rates include the same meal plan as the accompanying adult.
Grand Hotel is especially fond of our younger guests and recognizes their need to have room to spread out. We offer room options ideal for families that include suites with parlors, suites with two bedrooms and rooms with outdoor balconies.
One-Bedroom Musser Suite
This beautiful space, named for R.D. Musser, Jr., Grand Hotel’s late former chairman, features a bedroom with a king bed, a wet bar and separate parlor.
One- and Two-Bedroom Cupola Suites
These beautiful suites are our newest addition and give families the flexibility they need. Each offers a bedroom with one king or two queen beds and parlor, with the option to add an adjoining bedroom with two queen beds.
Our beautiful two-bedroom suites are all different and feature a parlor for sitting and games along with spectacular outdoor spaces and beautiful views.
